Whenever you are ready to shop at AfriArts.com use the shopping menus to browse through the catalogs. Once you've found an item you'd like to purchase simply click the 'add to shopping basket' button on that product's page. This will add the item to your shopping basket. You can then choose to continue shopping or place your order by clicking the 'checkout' button.

Putting something in your shopping basket does not commit you to buying it. You can edit the contents of your basket at any time by clicking on the 'view/edit your order' button just below the shopping bar. When viewing your shopping basket you can remove any item or change the quantity of items ordered. From here you can also click the 'checkout' button when you are ready to place your order.

  • We use the preferred methods for handling the problem of transferring personal data securely over the Internet. When you fill out the order form and press the "submit secure order" button, the information you entered is passed along a "secure socket layer", or SSL, where the information is encrypted to reach our server computer.

If your browser does not support this encrypting of information, then pressing the "submit secure order" button will simply result in an error message, and your information will not have been sent. In this case we would like to ask that you send in your order by email, without including your credit card number, as a security precaution.

After traveling securely to our web server by SSL, the information is forwarded to us by email with (PGP) mail encryption.

 

 

  •                                                                                      Shipping

 

Items ordered together will not necessarily be shipped together. If any item is not in stock, we will notify you as quickly as we can and ask you whether you would like to backorder or cancel.

 

AfriArts.com ship either by UPS, DHL or FedEx. The shipping charge is 10% of the total order . There is a minimum shipping charge of $10. Shipping charges might be higher on international destinations, (outside Canada and the U.S.)  you will be  informed by email once we receive your order and destination, and await your acceptance and approval of charges before shipping. do not worry, you will not be charged before acceptance of shipping charges.

 

Even though AfriArts.com carries a stock of the most popular items in African Arts and Crafts,  many of our products are made by local and ordinary artist in towns and villages across Africa. As a result we caution our customers that orders may take a while to be shipped to you.  Most items posted on AfriArts.com are generally, readily available and can be shipped to clients within 10 days. However, if an item is out of stock, a longer period may be required to ship. should that occurred, we will stay in touch with the client and inform them of the steps being taken to get their orders to them.

To guarantee that our customer receive the best value for their money AfriArts.com uses standard post to deliver our products. We also take care of the cost of all insurance to protect our customers purchases.

AfriArts.com will like to remind their customers that all items on our site are individually hand-crafted by one of the Africa's best in the business of artwork and not from a pre-mould extraction. As a result,  items ordered may slightly differ in detail.

Every effort has been made to offer our customers with detail and close-up shots of items, so that you can have a better view and idea of what the item(s) really look like. We do recognize, however, that pictures are not the same as personal or physical touch, feel or view. As a result, AfriArts.com offers an unconditional guarantee of satisfaction.

If you do not find  your order to have the expected feelings as you view it on our site, simply return it within three weeks for a full refund of the purchase price, no questions asked. Items must, however, be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Please be advised that, shipping costs are deducted from all refunds.
